Sentient Wiring Systems (SWS) are computerized harnesses used for condition based maintenance (CBM) and automated troubleshooting. SWS are designed as a generic embedded component in the system wiring harness. SWS can be easily configured into a junction box in wiring system. SWS electronics and sensors monitor signals and integrity. For SWS ordinary harnesses are replaced with equivalent harnesses made with conventional connectors and wires fitted with Sentient wiring integration units. The SWS serves two purposes; first, to inspect the wiring system for damage, and second, to monitor the signals flowing through the wiring. SWS provide monitoring wiring for current, voltage, opens and shorts.
